(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese boxer Le Huu Toan became champion of World Boxing Association Asia (WBA Asia),defeating Thailand’s Kitidech Hirunsuk in the championship match of the minimum weight class in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.

Toan won the belt in12 intense rounds, after qualifying with three wins, two by knockout.
Le Huu Toan is the reigning Vietnamese boxing champion under 48kg. His Thai opponent in the final had an impressive career record of eight wins, five by knockout.
