Osborne said in a BBC TV interview that the foreign aid budget is equivalent to 0.7 % of Britain’s GDP. He added that the foreign aid budget can help local councils with things like refugees’ housing costs. Earlier, Prime Minister David Cameron said Britain welcomed thousands of Syrian refugees. A UN spokesperson said the UK will receive around 4,000 refugees.
