She’ll meet with Emperor Akihito and have an unofficial discussion with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe about a UK-Japan free trade agreement after Brexit. According to EU regulations, official discussions about free trade agreements between the UK and other countries can only be held after the UK leaves the bloc.
