(VOVworld)- Thousands of Buddhist monks, nuns and followers gathered at a ceremony at the Bai Dinh Pagoda in the northern province of Ninh Binh on Friday night to pray for peace for the world. The ceremony, attended by sangharaja and leaders of the World Buddhist Sangha and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, was part of the activities within the framework of the ongoing 2014 United Nations Day of Vesak. After spiritual exercises, 96 monks from different countries in the world conducted a prayer for blessing to the people around the world.
