(VOVworld)-The northern province of Yen Bai has hosted a buffalo fighting festival as party of a tourism promotion program in cooperation with Phu Tho and Lao Cai provinces. Hundreds of buffalos have been registered to the contest before a shortlist of 32 final contenders was selected. Head of the organizing board, An Hai Nam:“The buffalo fighting festival aims to introduce local land and people to visitors while promoting their cultural identities. Many people and strived to look for best prodigy to participate at the competition. This will build up valuable sources of local husbandry genes.”
