Bulgarian President wants to lift Bulgaria-Vietnam relationship to strategic partnership
(VOVworld) - Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will visit Vietnam from October 27-31 to seek new opportunities to foster partnership. President Plevneliev was interviewed by Vietnamese reporters about cooperative prospects ahead of the visit.

Plevneliev said that Vietnam and Bulgaria should strive forward to boost bilateral economic cooperation and diversify bilateral trade. He said Bulgaria will open a representative office for trade and economy in Ho Chi Minh city to encourage Vietnamese exports to the Balkan region and European Union. The Bulgarian president also reiterated the importance of increasing direct investment between the two countries.
