(VOVworld) - Political party representatives said Burkina Faso’s presidential and parliamentary elections would take place on November 29 after a short-lived coup in September disrupted the original election timeline.

Representatives met with transitional President Michel Kafando on Tuesday before announcing the new election date. The upcoming election is considered a breakthrough on Burkina Faso’s path to democracy.
