Most fruits and agricultural products of the Mekong Delta region are traded here before being transported to other markets in Mekong delta provinces.

"Market sessions during days before Tet are the busiest and most interesting. On normal days we sell guavas, oranges, sweet potatoes, and on days leading up to Tet we offer customers with pomelos and watermelons. I’ll carry all the fruits I bought here to sell to traders in Kien Giang province", said Tran Thi Phuc Diem, one of the traders at Cai Rang market.
