(VOVworld) – The ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) announced that Hun Sen remains the Prime Minister and will continue to be the party’s candidate for Prime Minister for the next term.

The announcement was made at the CPP's Special Congress held on June 21. Prime Minister Hun Sen was elected as President of the CPP on June 20 at the 38th Central Committee Conference, replacing Chea Sim who passed away on June 8.
Say Chhum and Sar Kheng were elected vice presidents of the CPP.
