Cambodia PM’s Vietnam visit to nurture traditional friendly relations

(VOVWORLD) -Ahead of the official visit to Vietnam by Prime Minister of Cambodia Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet on Monday and Tuesday, Cambodian news website Domrey News published an article by Uch Leang, Deputy Director of the Department of Asian, African, and Middle-East Studies under the International Relations Institute of Cambodia.

The article emphasized the importance of the trip, which it said will bring great benefits to the Cambodian people, as well as the people of the two countries.

Uch Leang said the upcoming trip is the second official foreign visit since Hun Manet took office as Prime Minister of Cambodia in late August 2023.

He said the visit will strengthen the good relationship between Cambodia and Vietnam in the spirit of "Good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability" which has been preserved and nurtured, even in the context that Cambodia has changed to a new generation of leaders.

The researcher said through Prime Minister Hun Manet's upcoming visit to Vietnam, the traditional Cambodia-Vietnam friendship will continue to be nurtured at all levels.
