This is the first foreign trip by Samdech Khuon Sudary as President of the Cambodian National Assembly. Cambodia held elections for the 7th legislature and national leadership in August.

This visit is important for relations between the national assemblies of Vietnam and Cambodia and a milestone in good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive, sustainabble and long-term cooperation.
