Cannes Film Festival 2017 begins
(VOVWORLD) - Cannes Film Festival 2017 opened in Cannes, southern France, on Wednesday with Arnaud Desplechin’s movie “Les Fantomes d’Ismael”.

60 out of 1,930 movies from around the world will premiere at the festival.
This year’s Palme d'Or trophy has been encrusted with diamonds for the 70th anniversary of the festival. “Vietnam - a new destination for blockbusters” is the theme of a campaign to promote Vietnamese movies at the festival. The Vietnamese booth at Village International Pantireo is displaying publications that promote Vietnam and its young film industry.
The Cannes Film Festival will continue until May 28.
