(VOVWORLD) -33,463 vehicles of all types were sold in Vietnam in September 2022, up 8.5% against the previous month, the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) said on Tuesday.
In the first nine months of this year, VAMA's members’ total sales reached more than 296,400 vehicles, up 57% over the same period last year, of which 170,000 domestically-assembled cars were sold, an increase of 58%.
Industry experts predict the Vietnamese auto market may for the first time reach the 500,000 vehicles’ mark in 2022, which will motivate the auxiliary industry and investment in the automobile production line. Given the global economic and political stability and more stable supply of spare parts for domestic vehicle assembly and production, the supply and the automobile market will be improved.
