(VOVworld) – The Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics has always been active in patriotic movements, said Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communications and Education.

At a meeting Tuesday with Tran Xuan Manh, deputy head of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnam’s Catholics, Ms. Mai praised the Committee for encouraging Catholics to follow Party and State guidelines and policies and actively contribute to Vietnam’s socio-economic development. Mai said she hopes the Committee will do more to promote a good religious life and contributions to society.
