(VOVWORLD) - Celebrations of Buddha’s birthday in Ca Mau and Tra Vinh province strictly adhered to COVID-19 safety measures and no large gatherings were allowed.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Tra Vinh province encouraged pagodas and monasteries to celebrate Buddha’s birthday and hold the “bathing Buddha” ritual online.
Most venerable Thich Tri Minh, Deputy Head of the VBS Executive Committee in Tra Vinh, said, “The provincial VBS has asked grassroots affiliates, monasteries, and Buddhist followers to strictly observe anti-COVID-19 measures to ensure safe celebrations.”
The VBS Executive Committee in Ca Mau province celebrated Buddha’s birthday at the Buddha Temple in compliance with health precautions. Superior Buddhist monk Thach Ha, Head of the VBS Executive Committee of Ca Mau province encouraged local Buddhist followers to join the fight against COVID-19.
