(VOVworld) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed with her Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang measures to enhance bilateral relations in Beijing on Monday as part of her three-day visit to China.

The two leaders witnessed the signing of many cooperative agreements between the two countries’ businesses including deals for Germany to supply helicopters and build a new automobile factory in China. Air China and the German airline Lufthansa, who are members of the Star Alliance, signed an agreement entering into a joint venture. Merkel’s visit to China is mainly aimed at boosting trade ties.
