Following a meeting with top Chinese nuclear envoy Wu Dawei in Seoul, Hwang Joon-kook, South Korea’s Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, said North Korea has no choice but to change. Mr. Wu Dawei said China supports the UN Security Council’s new resolution on North Korea and called on all parties to work together to maintain peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
The draft UN resolution requires UN members to inspect all cargo passing through their territory to or from North Korea and bans all gold or coal exports whose proceeds fund North Korea's weapons programs.
