China requests US to create favorable conditions for trade talks
(VOVWORLD) - Trade talks between the US and China resumed on Tuesday in Shanghai, which has low progress expectations.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Monday that she hopes the US will honor its commitments and create favorable conditions for the talks.
Two months after US-Chinese talks on ending the trade war broke down, both sides are trying to temper hopes for a breakthrough when negotiations resume.
