China, Russia to maintain close communications on Korean Peninsula issue
(VOVWORLD) -China and Russia promised on Sunday to maintain close communications on the Korean Peninsula issue.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said he and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov held an extensive and profound exchange of views on the current situation and a resolution against North Korea just passed by the UN Security Council. Wang and Lavrov met on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Manila. Wang said the most vital thing is to prevent any further escalation of tensions.
