(VOVworld)-  The JinanPpeople’s Court said it will announce its verdict on former governor of Liaoning Bo Xilai on September 22. Bo Xilai stood trial here from August 22-26 on charges of bribery, corruption, and abuse of power. In the indictment summary, prosecutors said that evidence brought before the court is sufficient to convict Bo and asked the court to order heavy punishment. Bo denied the major charges of the indictment. Bo Xilai, born in 1949, was appointed mayor of Dalian city in 1993. Before becoming Party secretary of Chongqing province in 2007, he had been elected Chairman of Liaoning Province and Minister of Commerce. In March, 2012, Bo Xilai was suspended and was dismissed from his positions on April, 2012. He was ejected from the Communist Party of China in September, 2012.
