China willing to work with Russia as a good neighbor, partner: Xi Jinping
(VOVWORLD) - Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where Xi congratulated Putin and Russian people on his recent swearing in as Russia’s top leader for the fifth term.

Xi expressed his belief that, under Putin's leadership, Russia will make new and greater progress in national development.
Xi spoke highly of the bilateral relations between China and Russia and urged both countries to further bilateral ties.
China is willing to work with Russia as a good neighbor and partner, consolidate the long-term friendship between the two peoples, and jointly pursue national development and recovery.
Putin said Moscow and Beijing have developed a strong background in practical cooperation, adding that China is Russia's main partner in trade and economy.
Putin also named energy, industry, and agriculture as priorities.
