(VOVworld) - Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress, visited the construction site of the Vietnam-China Friendship Palace in Hanoi on Thursday as part of his official visit.

Once Palace construction is completed in 2017, it will be a venue for cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the countries. Zhang, who is also a member of China’s Politburo Standing Committee, said the palace is a symbol of the good relationship between the two countries.
He asked that the Chinese contractor to ensure the project’s quality and keep to schedule, while asking for Vietnam’s close coordination and best possible conditions for the building.
