Xinhua News Agency reports on the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The People’s Daily quoted Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong’s political report, mentioning the major goal of the Communist Party of Vietnam to improve the leadership and fighting capacity of the Party, build a strong and clean political system, strengthen people’s trust in the Party, State, and socialism, maintain a stable environment, and strive to become a developed country in the middle of the 21^st century.

The newspaper posted the full congratulatory message from the Communist Party of China to the Congress. It said, “The 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is important as it is associated with the development in all spheres of the Vietnamese Party and State, and is a major event in the political life of the Vietnamese Party and people.The Congress will put forth development targets for the nation, as well as implement plans for the centennial anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the centennial founding anniversary of Vietnam, opening up a new path to build Vietnam into a modernised socialist country.”

The Paper website highlighted Vietnam’s national development orientations and targets set by the Congress. It said Vietnam’s successful containment of the COVID-19 pandemic has been hailed internationally. It commented that the 13^th National Party Congress will uphold economic, internal, and external policies to ensure continuity and efficiency.
