Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and his wife leave Hanoi on December 13, 2023. They were seen off by Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

During the visit, Chinese Party leader and President Xi laid a wreath and paid homage at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh; held talks with Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong; and met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

Both sides issued a joint statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and building a Vietnam-China community of a shared future, which holds strategic significance.
