(VOVWORLD) - Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, this week to relate China’s stance on global issues.

Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Zhang Jun told a press briefing in Beijing on Monday that this shows China attaches great importance to G20 cooperation and global economic governance.
President Xi will hold bilateral meetings with US President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The president is also scheduled to attend a series of multilateral meetings in tandem with the summit, Zhang said, including an informal meeting of the BRICS leaders, an informal meeting of leaders of China, Russia and India, and a meeting with African leaders.
