(VOVworld) - Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan on Tuesday had talks with visiting US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel on bilateral ties and issues of common concern.

At a press briefing after the talks, the two leaders said they had reached agreement on 7 major points and affirmed that Hagel’s visit will deepen bilateral trust and promote building new form of military ties. Mr. Hagel said the two sides are concerned about the recent missile launching of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as well as Pyongyang’s threat of nuclear test. The two leaders also agreed on denuclearization on Korean peninsula.
