(VOVworld) – Officials from Hau Giang, An Giang, and Binh Dinh province have been delivering Christmas greetings to parishioners over the past few days.

Representatives of the Southwest Steering Committee, Hau Giang’s administration, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front delivered gifts and Christmas greetings to local Christian dignitaries and followers.

Nguyen Phong Quang, Deputy Head of the Southwest Steering Committee, asked Christian dignitaries and followers to continue upholding the solidarity spirit, overcome difficulties, enhance production and trade, and improve the spiritual and material lives of local people.

Hau Giang leaders also delivered gifts to the Long Xuyen Bishop’s office, the Protestant Church, and followers. An Giang authorities expressed their hope that religious dignitaries and parishioners will make further contributions to local socio-economic development and be united in social security programs.

At a similar meeting in Binh Dinh province, local dignitaries thanked the Party, government, and provincial leaders, saying they will mobilize parishioners to follow the spirit of living the gospel in a secular society.
