(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Head of the National Steering Committee for International Integration of Education, Science and Technology chaired the committee’s regular meeting Tuesday in Hanoi. Participants reported on their work progress in the first half of 2013. The Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs jointly developed a plan for international integration of education and vocational training by 2020 with the aim of standardizing and modernizing the education sector. Nhan urged the MoET to devise a cooperative plan to build universities, including cooperation with Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was encouraged to work with the MoET and other ministries to review the methods and resources used to teach Vietnamese to overseas Vietnamese.
