(VOVworld)- The Committee on Drafting Amendments to the 1992 Constitution convened its 8^th plenary in Hanoi on Saturday to review revisions to the 1992 Constitution before submitting it to the Politburo and the 8^th Plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee. Presided by National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Head of the Committee, the delegates discussed revisions concerning economic components, land acquisition, local administration, the Constitutional Council and the state budget. Chairman Hung said the draft of the revised 1992 Constitution received enthusiastic and responsible contributions from the public, researchers, experts and National Assembly deputies. He urged members of the Drafting Committee to focus on controversial issues and reach consensus on the revisions before submitting them to the Party Politburo and the Party Central Committee.
