Community helps poor people enjoy happy Tet
(VOVWORLD) - A charity program took place in the central province of Quang Binh on Thursday to support poor people as the Lunar New Year Festival or Tet approaches.

Over the past 14 years, the program has mobilized more than 380,000 USD from organizations and individuals. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front, said: “Many poor people are unable to access basic social services, especially housing. The program has called on the whole community to secure a happy Tet for disadvantaged families”.
In HCM city, the municipal Farmers’ Association hosted a program to raise funds for poor farmers. Association Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Bach Mai said: “We try to help farmers access social welfare programs and more production equipment to escape poverty. I think this program will encourage them in production and daily life”.
