Community lends helping hand for the poor
(VOVWORLD) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Tran Thanh Man, has chaired a meeting to review preparation for TV and programs mobilizing community’s support for the poor to be broadcast live next Saturday.

54 organizations and individuals have registered to donate more than 467 billion dong for the poor. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said: “We hope to receive more resources donated to the Fund for the Poor and Social Welfare. This will support the poor in all parts of the country to help them overcome difficulties, especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Tran Thanh Man said caring for the poor is the responsibility of the whole Party, army and people. He expected the program to produce spin-off effects in social mobilization of resources for the poor.
