(VOVworld) – A declaration of principles and five proposed amendments to an agreement, brokered by the UN in 2015, to create a unity government in Libya was issued on Wednesday.

After a two-day conference in Cairo, representatives from the Libyan government and opposition factions reached the proposals. They called on the Libyan National Dialogue Commission and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya to hold a meeting within two weeks to discuss the conference’s proposals and possible solutions to end the crisis in Libya.
