(VOVworld) - A conference to review the planting of border markers between Vietnam and Laos was held in the central province of Nghe An on Monday.

Addressing the conference, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh asked relevant agencies and localities of the two countries to complete the remaining work by 2014 in accordance with signed agreements.
Lao Deputy Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith said the completion of border markers is a shared victory of great political, national security, and economic importance, contributing to peace, friendship, stability and cooperation.
Organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the border markers were awarded certificates.
