(VOVworld) – The State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC) will hold a 5-day investment promotion conference in the US to help American enterprises and investors understand Vietnam’s current situation and its government’s policies and determination to reform.

It is hoped that the conference, which will begin Wednesday, will bolster US investors’ trust in the development potential of the Vietnamese market and create new prospects for comprehensive US-Vietnam relations, especially in economics and finance.

The conference, themed “My Vietnam – Your investment destination”, will focus on Vietnamese policies and open a dialog between Vietnamese businesses and American investors.

According to the SSC, the dialogue will allow Vietnamese policymakers to use US investor feedback to refine Vietnam’s policies and mechanisms, while giving American investors a clearer picture of the Vietnamese market through case histories of US firms already accessing Vietnam’s financial markets and investing in Vietnamese companies that are listed on securities exchanges.

This year Vietnam and the US are celebrating 20 years of bilateral diplomatic ties and economic cooperation.
