(VOVworld) – Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son extended his congratulations to the Cambodian government and people on their traditional Chol Chnam Thmay festival during his visit to the Cambodia Embassy in Vietnam on Thursday. Son expressed his belief that last year’s achievements in economics, politics, and culture will drive Cambodia forward.

Son said Vietnam and Cambodia achieved closer ties last year in all fields, particularly in people-to-people exchanges.

Cambodian Ambassador Hun Phany congratulated Vietnam on having elected a new National Assembly Chairwoman, President, and Prime Minister. He said that under the new leadership, Vietnam will grow stronger, which will be beneficial to the development of Cambodia and Laos.
