(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a teleconference in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss the implementation of a party politburo directive on continued reform of the emulation and reward work.

He said that the party committees and heads of agencies should be responsible for the quality of emulations and rewards and that party members should be in the vanguard of grassroots emulation movements. He said: “Key leaders should thoroughly understand this directive in order to devise measures and action programs, suitable to their localities. The message of the patriotic emulation movements, particularly those regarding new rural development and national maritime sovereignty, should also be strengthened”.

The purpose of the directive is to strengthen unity in the political system and society in the course of national renewal, construction and defense.
