(VOVworld) – The future of Asian navigation following a recent ruling of the Permanent Court of Arbitration on East Sea disputes topped the agenda of a seminar held in Tokyo on Monday.


Japanese and foreign scholars agreed that freedom of overflight and navigation in the East Sea benefits all countries and that the ruling provides a foundation for countries to cooperate and guarantee freedom of navigation and overflight in the East Sea. The seminar was co-hosted by the Meiji Institute for Global Issues (MIGA) and the Meiji Institute of International Policy Studies (MIIPS).
