(VOVWORLD) - From 6 pm on Tuesday to 6 pm on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded 12,096 new COVID-19 cases, of which 3 were imported and 12,093 were recorded in 36 provinces and cities.

Ho Chi Minh City had the most cases, 5,294. Binh Duong province had 4,129 cases and Dong Nai province confirmed 618 cases. Hanoi recorded 96 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
On Wednesday, Vietnam had an additional 7,646 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 169,921. Meanwhile, 335 patients died, raising the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam to 9,349.
Vietnam has so far reported 381,363 infections, ranking 66th out of 222 countries and territories.
