(VOVWORLD) - As of Friday, 199 countries and territories around the world had reported more than 530,000 Covid-19 infections, 24,000 deaths, and 123,000 recoveries.

Europe remains the pandemic’s hot spot. Italy has suffered the highest mortality rate, with more than 8,200 deaths in 80,000 cases, followed by Spain with 4,300 deaths in 58,000 cases.
The UK for the first time reported more than 100 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours.
