COVID-19 infection rate drops in Ho Chi Minh city’s high-risk areas
(VOVWORLD) - The rate of people infected with COVID-19 in high-risk and very high-risk areas fell from 3.6% and 2.7% to 1.3% of people who have been tested so far, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

At a press conference on Sunday, Nguyen Hong Tam, Deputy Executive Director of the municipal Center for Disease Control, said that the large-scale screening in all areas has now passed its third phase and reached about 55% of completion.
He said that in each phase, the rate of SARS-CoV-2 virus detection decreased dramatically.
Tam said the quarantine period for fully-vaccinated foreign arrivals will be halved, from 14 days to 7 days.
