COVID-19: No new cases in Vietnam on Monday morning, 2.8 million deaths globally

(VOVWORLD) - From 6 p.m. on Sunday to 6 a.m. on Monday, Vietnam recorded no case of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health said. Vietnam has so far had a total 2,591 cases, of which 1,603 cases are domestic infections.

2,308 COVID-19 patients have been cured, 35 patients died. More than 45,000 people have been vaccinated with COVID-19 nationwide.

The pandemic has left nearly 2.8 million deaths all over the world. According to statistics site worldometers.info, as of 14:00 on Sunday (UTC), the world recorded more than 127 million cases, of which 2.79 million cases were reported dead. The number of patients being cured is more than 102 million.

The US remains the hardest hit country with 562,000 deaths out of a total of 30.9 million cases, followed by Brazil, India, Russia, and France.
