Daily new cases of Covid-19 are steadily declining in Western Europe, but not in hotspots in Russia and Eastern Europe, the World Health Organization said on Tuesday.
Spain has recorded no coronavirus deaths over the past 24 hours for the first time since the beginning of March, while Italy, France, and the UK have reported their lowest number of deaths in one day.
The outbreak has reached 54 nations in Africa, with North Africa is the most-affected area in number of cases and number of deaths. Western Africa is the second most affected area, followed by Southern Africa. Eastern and Central Africa are the least affected areas in Africa.
