COVID-19 updates on May 1
(VOVWORLD) - According to worldometers.info, as of May 1, the world had recorded total 152,133,661 COVID-19 cases and 3,196,536 deaths. 129,439,543 cases have been recovered.

India became the first country in the world with COVID-19 infection cases surpassing 400,000 cases in a single day. With 401,993 new coronavirus cases reported on May 1, India’s has had more than 19 million cases, the second highest in the world after the US.
In Southeast Asia, Thailand recorded Saturday the highest number of COVID-19 deaths while the epidemic showed signs of slowing down in Laos and Cambodia.
