Cu Chi honored for achievements in pandemic fight, socio-economic development
(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented Labor Order, third class, to Cu Chi district of Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday in recognition of its outstanding achievements in the COVID-19 combat and socio-economic development.

In his address, President Phuc asked the district to effectively contain the pandemic and boost socio-economic development.
He stressed the importance of strengthening the local administration, improving economic activities to help locals increase their income, paying more attention to education development, local culture preservation and promotion, and care for revolutionary contributors.
President Phuc also visited and presented gifts to local social beneficiaries and attended a conference on investment promotion in Cu Chi and Hoc Mon districts. Businesses pledged investment capital of 16 billion USD at the conference.
