(VOVworld) – Cuba will continue to strengthen its ties with Vietnam, said Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Herminio López Díaz in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency following the success of the seventh Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.

Ambassador Diaz said Cuba’s external policy attaches great importance to relations with close friends like Vietnam. Cuba’s relations with Vietnam will be prioritized not only in politics and diplomacy, but also in economics and trade.

Ambassador Diaz said Cuba wants to receive more Vietnamese investment pledging to create favorable conditions for such areas as pharmaceuticals, science, and technology.
