(VOVworld) – On Thursday, Cuban and US officials began the 2^nd meeting on mutual compensation between the two countries.

The two sides put on the table the options for compensation in accordance with the demands of each side and laid out the historical and legal foundations for their claims. Economic compensation is a highlight. The United States demanded compensation for the companies nationalized after 1959, while Cuba asked for compensation for the damage caused by the criminal economic blockade imposed from 1962 to the present date.
