(VOVworld) – The Cultural Tourism Week of Mu Cang Chai terraced fields opened in Yen Bai province on Sunday. Themed “Golden season in the mountains”, the event is aimed at strengthening tourism connections in Vietnam’s north-eastern region. The week’s activities include a music contest featuring the traditional bamboo instrument known as the “khen”, a paragliding contest at the Khau Pha mountain pass, highland markets, documentary films about Yen Bai, a photo exhibit featuring Mu Cang Chai's terraced golden rice fields, and goat fighting. The event will run until Sunday.
