Cycling program for AO victims begins

(VOV) – A trans-Vietnam cycling program for Agent Orange (AO) victims began yesterday/ on Thursday in Ho Chi Minh City. The tour is jointly organized by the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA) and Korea’s Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) to mark the 20th anniversary of Vietnam-Korea diplomatic ties on December 22. 18 Vietnamese and Korean cyclists including AO victims departed Nha Rong wharf and will pass through 18 provinces and cities along National Highway 1A to reach Hanoi.

VAVA President Nguyen Van Rinh told reporters: AO victims, despite their physical impairment, joined the program with great courage to overcome any challenges. We organize the tour to encourage people to care for AO victims’ daily life and health treatment. The program also aims to unite Vietnamese and international friends in the fight for justice for Vietnam’s AO victims.
