(VOVworld)- The Chairman of the Czech-Vietnamese Association Marcel Winter has condemned a Czech official for slandering the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.

Czech-Vietnamese Association condemns distortion against Vietnamese people

On the website of the association and in a letter to Czech media agencies, Mr. Winter denounced biased views of Josef Stredula, Chairman of the Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions, who told CT24 TV Channel that Vietnamese people who came to work and live the Czech Republic from 2007 to 2009 were involved in illegal activities. Mr. Marcel Winter said Josef Stredula’s statements slandered and offended more than 15,000 Vietnamese people living legally in the Czech Republic during that period. He asked Mr. Stredula to apologize to the Vietnamese government and people for the distortions.
