(VOVworld) - The 2013 Central Coast Regional Investment Promotion Conference opened in Da Nang on Thursday for central coast cities and provinces to promote their potential and seek investment opportunities.

The 2-day conference drew 400 leaders, experts, and domestic and foreign investors. The event offers opportunities for managers, investors, and international organizations to discuss the region’s socio-economic issues and connect theory to practice. Associate Professor Tran Dinh Thien, Director of the Vietnam Economics Institute, said 'the first thing provinces should do is conduct development re-planning to create widespread connections. Once the central regions’ advantages in tourism development are fully tapped, linkage with the central highlands should be done'.

Officials of the central provinces talked to enterprises, trading partners, and domestic and foreign investors about ways to enhance coordination , develop uniform plans for investment promotion , and make full use of bank loans for investment projects.
